Embedded Linux Engineer

Description:

TrygTech is looking for a senior embedded Linux engineer to work on all levels of a board support package (BSP) for custom hardware.

Duration:

6 months

Development responsibilities may include:

• Design, develop and debug device drivers and low-level applications
• Port and maintain a Yocto Project Board Support Package for custom hardware
• Customize and maintain SDK
• Optimize system (boot up time, memory, disk space, power, CPU utilization)
• Develop test code to verify build’s performance

Necessary skills:

• Expert knowledge of C/C++/Assembly
• Excellent system level debugging skills
• In-depth knowledge of Embedded Linux internals
• Experience evaluating, selecting and customizing Embedded Linux packages for proprietary hardware
• Familiarity with Yocto-based platforms and tools a great plus

Additional requirements:

• BSCS/BSCE/BSEE
• 3 to 5 years experience developing embedded Linux systems
• Must be willing and able to provide exceptional customer service, including direct interfacing with clients
• Must be able to work within a distributed team environment
• Ability to learn fast and work independently
• Some travel required (typically two weeks annually)
